Review Time: this project is mixed
Fundamental elements: there are cultural
elements, mental imagery flashback imagery thing, no subtitles when another
language is being used, slow-motion effects, words on screen, voice-over
element, time jumps and place jumps.
Artistic visions: the artistic
visions are clear to see be it the landscapes or the animals and somewhere in
the beginning we have our lead role waiting and he has this fly on his face in
one scene and in another he has this insect on his face, these two scenes
individually are close-up or enough so you can see what I have put here [I
apologize if this insect is not an insect but something tiny anyway.]
Action sequences: now there is a
workout sequence, a training sequence in this title, but where more of the
strengths of this project are is in the field sequences and anything to do with
them and yes there are plenty of weapons being used.
Character developments/Performances: on both counts on reflection these are difficult to judge, because on
one hand for one example briefly we have a lead character that is trying to do
the right thing, but has problems with authority figures that kind of character
type and on the other hand were these performances trying to be safe versions
of these character types or something like this [at the very least there is enough
here for me to think like this in the first place.] But in a nutshell Billy
Zane as Richard Miller whenever this character is involved in this project he
does make an impact in one way or another.
This film receives: 4/10, now taking
everything into consideration and looking back over what I have dictated in
this review, I was considering giving this title a different mark or marks, but
as everyone should know by now I try to be fair or as fair as I can be, so I
went for this mark after everything is said and done.
