Average Extra of: Masters of The Universe – Official Teaser Trailer 2026: My Reaction by AverageMansReviews

Average Extra of: Masters of The Universe – Official Teaser Trailer 2026: My Reaction by AverageMansReviews

Real Talking Time:

Warning: broadly speaking the trailers for this movie will have mature content/themes within them and yes they will be some censored adult language references as well.

My reaction: I am just finished watching this film trailer which is the 145 seconds one, which this content is based on, I have so many concerning questions: like originally I thought his name plack had Adam Glenn/He-Man on it: I was okay the is a bit on the nail, then I looked online than what it actually said was He/Him, so I don't know if this has been done genuinely reflect Earth at this time or some kind of mocking attempt or just to you urinate the fan base off whatever the case may be it isn't a great look/start.

I hope we don't spend too much time on Earth? I get the story outlay and it is an interesting interpretation as well so I am on board with it, but at the same time I do get the feeling that if we spent too long here, it is possibly going to run the risk of getting tiresome, I mean hopefully and if they are smart this is where Adam/He-Man learns his humanity traits from, so it acts as character developments as well as storyline and are we getting a talking Cringer/Battle Cat? I know Prince Adam Glenn/He-Man [Nicholas Galitzine:] he is a human resources guy, meant for better things; he made reference to talking cats in this trailer and do we really have to have at some point or another slow motion effects action sequences? Because if you have been following me long enough, I would have made reference to the fact that thanks to early 2000's broadly speaking running this particular style to death, I can't stand it because I just see it as cheap, tacky and uninspiring manure nowadays, I mean unless they have found a way to update it somehow, which I doubt it, because it would have been done by now.

My biggest concerns by far is Jared Leto as Keldor/Skeletor: he is one of the biggest threats to peace on Eternia and half brother to King Randor: are they going to do any exposition on how Skeletor came to be Skeletor or/and Hordak [even though I haven't seen this film yet obviously: I just want to point out to be fair and balanced I will take references to him.] I have a really bad feeling that when Leto as Skeletor communicates this whole ominous presence they have given him will melt away instantaneously, which it has to be said I am not completely sold on Skeletor's presentation either, his body and head/face in certain scenes looks much better than others close-up; looks like the work of art, but further away not so much and then on top of that before I continue I need to point out also that this is nothing personal, but nonetheless it is an unwanted track record that  Leto's track record at the box office is way more flops than worldwide successes especially over more recent times, I mean you have to go all the way back until House of Gucci 2021 to find the last film he was connected to as Paolo Gucci to find his last project that was deemed to be a financial success.

Let's be positive for two minutes: Eternia looks majestically fantastic what with the scenery, landscapes, costumes and etc, be in artistic or/and action wise; they really seem to have an idea of how they wanted everything to be presented and how things should be on everything we experience in this trailer minus my concernsAnd I do hope we get a moral message extra scene in the closing credits: so what did we learn from this film?... As well as another extra scene implying a sequel.

My prediction for this film: 6/10, based on here and now I think the assets of this movie will paint over the cracks of the shortcomings of this movie, so hence why I went for 6/10, but I want to be proven wrong here and comfortably so, I will stand by the mark I have already chosen, but hypothetically and for an reasonable expectation should be heading for anywhere north of 7/10 with ease, But I can’t stress this enough I think the potential negatives of this movie are going to financially cost them dearly, such as for a quick example the pronoun thing, there was no positive outcome putting this reference in this movie; I mean on one hand some of your audience members can now say it that; this film is woke and potentially not go to the cinema or on the other hand some of the people are going to find this offensive; as they may feel that this film is having a joke at their expense; either way potentially you have just cost yourself this section of butts not being in seats; so smart move there, you bunch of geniuses and for those that are unable to pick up on sarcasm I am being incredibly sarcastic here; and here was me thinking Hollywood would have learned this expression by now “You go woke, you go broke” but obviously they haven’t learnt enough yet, with this virtual signalling manure,  so hopefully this doesn’t cost them the difference between making a sequel/franchise or not.

In-depth Predictions/Other elements for Saturday Night's Main Event XLIII/2026 by AverageMansReviews

In-depth Predictions/Other elements for Saturday Night's Main Event XLIII/2026 by AverageMansReviews

Just a heads up: I have decided to go for a new presentation outlay for this content, it should be self-explanatory, but just in case it isn't follow the ones in red

The Judgment Day's: Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez vs. Champs Rhiyo's: Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky; Tag Team Match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship:

I fully expect one of two things to happen the champions to win here and then for the WWE to re-run this match at WWE Royal Rumble with the inclusion of a different stipulation.

Cody Rhodes vs. Jacob Fatu; Singles Match:

I don't know why they just didn't have this match for a number 1 contenders Undisputed WWE Championship Match at WWE Elimination Chamber. Because any outcome here is a suitable championship opponent or opponents, based off the outcome of this match being a double disqualification

Randy Orton vs. Trick Williams vs. Damian Priest vs. Sami Zayn; Fatal Four-Way Match to determine the #1 contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE Royal Rumble:

I have chosen Priest based on the facts that I know he and McIntyre can have an absolute banger of a match

Our story continues: briefly; Dr Ian Kelson [Ralph Fiennes:] he is a former GP Doctor for the NHS, but nowadays working on giving the dead somewhere to rest, staying alive and helping out his friend Samson [Chi Lewis-Parry:] he is a alpha male rage zombie, that between the both of them they build a friendship.

Generally speaking: the storyline/script is on first impressions based on the plot in the opening sections, I was wondering if we were going to spend too long with a selection of characters, but luckily we rotate between one and the other roughly speaking of course; so the framework and pacing of this 109 minutes film after this opening section or/and around here it needs time to find itself then it is good.

Art, action and comedy; throughout from time to time; on one hand there are some real graphic scenes such as a knife going in at the right spot, so essentially a character can urinate blood with velocity [which for those with a dark sense of humour this is hilarious] or/and some beautiful locational scenes such as at The Bone Temple: we have some close-up of the scale how much this rage zombie apocalypse has costed; as we see it as firstly ominous, intimidating, but also massively and somewhat strangely inspiring as it reminds us we are only here for a short time and underneath we are all the same [okay, in this case; deep, deep, deep down we are all the same,] but the point is still very valid nonetheless and of course we still have chasing sequences and more graphic action sequences, including this really captivating sequence of events involving without giving too much away but enough to give you a heads up; "The Number of the Beast" released in 1982 by Iron Maiden: and if this sequence of events doesn't receive at minimum positive nominees, I don't know what to tell you? I really don't, because it is really spectacular on multiple levels; artistic way, dancing from Fiennes, singing kind of, slightly comical because it truly is a spectacle that goes up and beyond anything you expect and when fire is used it can be seen as action.

Character developments, comedy and performances; as this is another instalment of this franchise; it does what you expect it to do, which is move things on in this case as it relates to the character developments, we do also get some beautifully timed comedy references from Dr. Kelson as in a nutshell and paraphrasing; he asks Sampson for payment of his services... and then reassures him not to worry as he is an NHS Doctor. The cast performances are on average, but it has to be said that Fiennes ' performance is of the highest order as he can fill up the scene or sequence with just his stage presence when he is on his own or at that time has no one that will converge with him in English and then on top of that he has simultaneously the skills/gift to elevate anyone that he is in the scene with regardless if they can respond in English or not at that time, so for an example Fiennes and Lewis-Parry have excellent chemistry on-screen, what with Lewis-Parry putting in as much effort as his character will allow at specific times in this movie/sequel, so this too is an excellent performance.

This film receives: 8/10, this film is excellent; yes within the opening section or more, I was getting the sinking feeling of this instalment of this franchise, but a mixture of the positives would I have already referenced in this content really righted the ship, and I really do hope that Fiennes at minimum gets some positive nominees for this performance, but as of this content being first created; it has 1 Nominee to its name Girls on Film Awards 2026 Girls on Film Award Best Composer Hildur Guðnadóttir Shared with: Hedda.

Godzilla 1998 by AverageMansReviews

Godzilla 1998 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/animal cruelty/animal feeding/animal biting/vehicle hits/burning/medical/references to disability and sexism

We have a big problem: briefly; after this exposition character developments within the opening titles; we have to find the brightest individual to deal with this monster later on referred to as Godzilla; we meet Dr. Niko "Nick" Tatopoulos [Matthew Broderick:] he is a biologist which is currently working on the effects of Chernobyl on earthworms, but he is being brought in to the ground if there was any way of dealing with this situation humanely.

Generally speaking: the storyline/script or/and the framework and pacing is just too long; as this film goes on for roughly 139 minutes and man you will feel every minute, where I fell asleep for a portion of this film and had to go back and watch it, so I could do this content.

Comedy, art, action and comedy;to begin with in this  film in a nutshell; Victor "Animal" Palotti [Hank Azaria:] he is a cameraman for WIDF News as he tries to get up close and personal with Godzilla; in fact; he achieves it almost too well, with almost getting killed/squashed underfoot doing this; but he survives. I know, I know 9 times out of 10 I am usually much more kinder to films that are clearly getting old as it relates to their visual representation; simply put in this case green-screen effects, but in this case I just can't do it; they have just aged so badly to the point where they stick out like a sore thumb, okay now let's be reasonable and some of them are either relatively okay [based on the bar being set really low] or for a short time good, where we have Godzilla in this underwater sequence of events taking down these submarines; yes this is absolutely another positive sequence of events about this film has to offer its viewers

Character developments and performances; the character developments are straightforward versions of what they are meant to be, coinciding in really solid and likeable performances from this cast; let's be honest here and say man they have to do a lot to keep this film motivated and going, and incidentally this film also has Harry Shearer as Charles Caiman: this unpleasant news reporter for WIDF News and unfortunately no this news reporter and cameraman don't work together; now if you don't get the connection between these two performers correction three/trio of performers; Nancy Cartwright as Caiman's secretary: full disclosure I missed this and only know this from the casting, apologies about that; they have a long-term association with another as they have worked on everyone's favourite yellow family; The Simpsons since its inception since 1989 and as of this content are still going in 2026.

This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; after everything is said and done I believe this to be the right mark; yes the person I watch some of this content with is correct when they said something to the effect of; it will good for back in the day and this is true. But I just wonder if and I have no way of proving this, but maybe they were really trying to stick to the budget and consequently these effects have as I have already referenced aged like old milk, but strangely enough if you have never seen this film and somehow you either find or purchase a cheap copy of it; it wouldn't harm you to give it a go and of course it has positive and negative awards to its name such as Positives: 10 Winners which include but not limited to Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, USA 1999 Saturn Award Best Special Effects Volker Engel Patrick Tatopoulos Karen E. Goulekas Clay Pinney and 13 Nominees which also include but not limited to from the same award ceremony/event Best Director Roland Emmerich. Negatives: Razzie Awards 1999 Razzie Award Worst Remake or Sequel Tied with The Avengers (1998) and Psycho (1998) and then Nominee likewise from the same award ceremony/event Worst Screenplay Dean Devlin Roland Emmerich

Average Extra of: The Death of Robin Hood 2026: My Reaction by AverageMansReviews

Average Extra of: The Death of Robin Hood 2026: My Reaction by AverageMansReviews

Real Talking Time:

Warning: broadly speaking the trailers for this movie will have mature content/themes within them.

My reaction: now I watched the 147 seconds trailer where Robin Hood [Hugh Jackman:] says his entire legacy is a lie, in fact it was completely the opposite and now has an warrior he just wants to die.

So straight off the bat; this is a fresh and new take on Robin Hood; not only has his legacy was built on lies, but also as an old man, with a very heavy weight that he has been carrying for decades with each passing devious act the weight is getting heavier as his soul is as black as his heart, as nowadays he is very much dead behind the eyes, but he could have a chance of some redemption; so as you can already tell that character developments could and should be multilayered.

The art and action; look to be amazing, as we get to see and experience some of the art and action in this trailer; what with a cold and dark landscape with fitting costumes and I think it is safe to assume the action sequences are going to be full on violence with great visual representation to simultaneously create a very immersive experience.

Already there would be nice for Jackman to hopefully receive some positive nominations for this performance as Robin Hood; I mean he is already shown based on my descriptions of this version of Hood what he is already clearly able to bring to the table in this alternative version of him.

So I would like to predict a 7/10 for this film, now considering I have been strongly positive about this project based on this trailer; I have been around long enough to learn that hopefully not, but I have negative questions such as; it looks fantastic, but it is another situation where the best elements have been put into trailer? As of this content being first created I could not find the length of the movie, so hypothetically based on my viewing experience this movie does look like a project which is 130 minutes long, which would be reasonable, any longer than this it may run framework and pacing issues, because as I have made crystal clear yes it looks a really engageable, but it doesn't matter how fantastic it may or may not look, it isn't going to stop people possibly getting fidgety in their seats if the movie is too long, so what I am trying to imply nicely is I hope the visual or any positives for that matter just doesn't paint over the cracks of any other shortcomings that this film may or may not have, consequently it open the door to speculate at this point is Jackman or/and the cast going to be carrying this film?

So I would have really liked to give something higher in my prediction, but at the same time I didn't want to make myself look silly, so a 7/10 is a reasonable prediction based on here and now.

Wasted: UK & US NXT Kay Lee Ray a.k.a. WWE's Alba Fyre main roster run has been mostly embarrassing by AverageMansReviews

Warning: there will be centred adult language references in this content.

I have finally ran out of patience: you see I have been waiting years to dictate this content and after seeing some posts about this exact point that I'm about to make, I was thinking now would be a good time to produce it.

Now putting to one side for a moment Fyre winning the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships with Isla Dawn as the tag team name of The Unholy Union back in 15/06/2024 what else has she done? Now let me remind you who she is and/or should be; Fyre was/is the longest reigning NXT UK Women's Champion in history with 649 days and throughout that time they built the division around her, it's funny there is only one other person that has a similar record to her in this now-defunct promotion and that would be Walter as NXT UK Champion with a fudgin' gigantic 870 days reign, it is almost like I could say hypothetically speaking of course, the only difference being one has a penis and the other doesn't, I mean I could say that but I won't say that, but it is strange that you put so much effort and time into both individuals and yet one is riding high and the other is in comparison circling the toilet bowl.

I was never on board with her with Chelsea Green as basically a part of her security guards as The Green Regime, let me say this loud and clear; her name is Alba motherfudging Fyre, she is one of the best singles wrestlers that they have on the main roster, but unless you know of her work in any NXT, you could be forgiven for thinking she is a glorified jobber, so what is the point of bringing these new additions in anywhere when Fyre is right fudgin' there to begin with?! By the way Ray when you're contract is up with the WWE, you may want to try another wrestling promotion in the form of AEW, they have a thriving women's locker room and I am sure without a shadow of doubt we can get you back to where you should be in the middle of that ring wrestling and/or wrestling for Championships.

The head rises: briefly; we are in a futuristic broken down society [the irony of this is not escaped on me as we are now in 2026, but I digress;] Network 23 is hiding something, but A host of the "What I Want To Know Show" by the name of Edison Carter/Max Headroom [Matt Frewer:] he is a tenacious, headstrong individual that will stop at nothing to find out the truth, even though he is also an employee of Network 23.

Generally speaking: the storyline/script and character developments is an origin outlay so if you have ever wondered how Headroom came to be active this 57 minutes movie will fill in the details broadly speaking, on reflection as this is the first time I have seen this movie, it would have been nice to have roughly back in the day a standard movie time of roughly 85 minutes, but I also understand that they probably had to work with the time allowed to them, so the framework and pacing is very good, you know it moves with some gusto and purpose.

Art and action; those of my generation [1980s] and older are more than likely going to appreciate the artistic temperament and the effort to create this world as we can all remember back in the day at some point or another the beginning stages of computer technology as a whole and if you think about the concept of this movie/TV program [1987-1988: 2 Seasons: 14 Episodes/1 not air] what we are seeing/experiencing in this broken down dystopian future is only going to get better with age as it really leans into consequently the authenticity of this movie; on every single level as they have obviously old computers and likewise old camera systems or/and Carter trying to escape this location before he gets caught with technical support from Amanda Pays as Theora Jones: she has literally just started working at Network 23 as she comes in from another network known as World 1 and she worked alongside Carter, but for here and now she helps him with getting in and out of this location via technical support.

Character developments, performances and comedy; they are all excellent from the cast as they all did their part to bring this landscape of life, obviously in particular Frewer; if you know of his work, you know he doesn't do half measures and yes we do get a little bit of comedy from Headroom as he makes reference to something to the effect of Eskimos getting fed up of looking at the weather report; meaning for them it is very cold 90% of the time or just cold 10% of the time so why bother looking at the weather report [I am fully aware that in this movie there are other comedy references, but I couldn't exactly use them as they are of mature to adult.]

This film receives: 9/10, this film is excellent; I decided to award another mark, because it is very enjoyable and very much worth viewing it and we have an ongoing scene as the ending credits roll. This film also has some awards accredited to its name such as 3 Winners which include but not limited to BAFTA Awards 1986 BAFTA TV Award Best Graphics Rod Lord Peter Tupy

Warning: there will be centred adult language references in this content.

I mean what other proof do you need?: That NXT/WWE cannot or will not make any organic superstars? Full disclosure I haven't seen any others run, so my point is strictly based on the fact that it lasted just 21 days and you are telling me [because I am learning as I am dictating this;] that her first defence of her championship she basically loses it to now and NXT Women's North American Champion The Culling's: Izzi Dame, which on top of this very short championship run you then make Hail a transitional champion on her first-ever championship run as well? Smart move... not! As for the rest of her career/life that will always be there, she deserved much better as for many years since her debut on the back end of 2021 she has been working very hard and yes she shouldn't won this championship, but now it was there let's make some lemonade out of lemons and this is precisely what I mean by organic, because even though it wasn't meant to happen everyone was absolutely delighted and overjoyed with the outcome, so my question is why didn't the NXT hierarchy run with it?...

Deep down we know why they didn't run with it... I mean we couldn't possibly have the specifically the NXT Universe being happy could we?... I mean that would be too good for business, now wouldn't it... Oh I have just remembered the only way that the WWE make money nowadays is by ripping off their universe and making controversial business deals with the Middle East so that anyone from the rainbow community or/and women if not accompanied by a man would be in danger if they went over to this territory.

I mean this vaguely reminds me of Ricochet winning his first-ever WWE main roster championship; in the form of the WWE United States Championship and that is scary on looking this up; he to lost it in 21 days from 23/06/2019 to 14/07/2019 losing to AJ Styles at WWE Extreme Rules 2019 and also became a transitional champion; I mean on both counts of these two championship runs they could have just given them one successful defence so that in either case they just didn't have the stigma of being a transitional champion on their first championship run, I don't like this way of doing things but I do understand it is a possible route to take, so I am not completely against it I just have one requirement unless of injuried should this happen on their first fudgin' championship runs, that is all I ask And just to finish this content of I don't care, I really don't give two dumplings of manure if she was meant to win or not, WWE or at any wrestling promotions for that matter has the option/abilities to roll with the punches, it just depends if they want to put in the effort or in this case obviously not.

In the Amazon rainforest: briefly; we follow this crew as they are filming this National Geographic documentary; their director and cameraman are Terri Flores and Danny Rich [Jennifer Lopez and Ice Cube:] she is hopeful that this will be her big break, will stand by her as they are good friends, so let's hope nothing will go wrong.

Generally speaking: the storyline/script is for a heavy amount of the time to begin with just mainly filler if we are being honest with one another, so the framework and pacing of this 89 minutes film is really quite difficult to stay awake to and yes I struggled to do this, which individually or together a character developments echo these issues, because they are just straightforward versions of their character types.

Action, art and comedy; when we get to see this snake or/and snakes; the action sequences are still good, if only a little bit cheesy on the visual aspects; visually likewise there are still good, but can tell the special effects are looking a bit weary, which I can overlook to a certain extent, but there are rare occasions that I can't overlook, because sometimes the movement of these makes look really cheap; as if someone had put some substance in the green sock or something like this and made a budget marionette for a moment or/and and regurgitating a chimpanzee or most definitely a creature from the monkey family. I know, I know, I usually overlook these things because they are usually done with some high level of effort and intent, but not as it relates to this film that is sure and finally we have moments of comedy; either the argument over the volume of mobile stereo, this snake swimming underwater with just feeding; where he now seems a little bit more rounder or/and another character being regurgitated and winking at Flores.

Character developments and performances; as I have already referenced they are very straightforward and likewise the vast majority of this cast and their performances reflect that, the only ones that put in a good performance are Lopez and/or Cuba. One of the worst character developments/performances I have; I am going with I have ever seen would have to be  Jon Voight as Paul Serone: our filming expedition come to the aid of this individual and it is convenient he has a wide knowledge of snakes. But be it character developments or/and performance; it is god-awful, this individual comes from Paraguay, so why does he have a very distinctive range of accents from the likes of New Zealand, South Africa, Netherlands or/and even Germany, they should have never cast him in this role; just in case I haven't made it crystal clear how bad this performance is; this is one of those performances that anyone would look back on their career and possibly have nightmares about.

This film receives: 4/10, this film is mixed; I mean I have decided to award another mark to highlight that it had enough on reflection to avoid getting put in the poor section of my marking system and what we have the other positives like that one point or another big explosions and not forgetting the performances of Lopez and/or Cuba, it just seems fair and there is an ongoing sequence as the ending credits begin to roll. This film also has some awards accredited to its name, which won't be a surprise to know one not or of these awards are a positive; Positive: 6 Winners which include but not limited to ALMA Awards 1998 ALMA Award Outstanding Actress in a Feature Film Jennifer Lopez Shared with: Selena and All Def Movie Awards 2016 All Def Movie Awards Best Black Survivor in a Movie Ice Cube (as Danny Rich.) 11 Nominees which also include but not limited to Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, USA 1998 Saturn Award Best Horror Film and Best Actress Jennifer Lopez. Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/impaling/burning/animal cruelty/animal waste/vehicle crash/vehicle hit/capital punishment/medical/references to racism

We continue from the previous instalment: briefly sometime later; we find Marty McFly/other characters [Michael J. Fox:] he has to go back to 1885 to rescue Emmett "Doc" Brown/other characters [Christopher Lloyd:] this version of him, which is originally from 1985 is unaware that he is heading towards a difficult time in just less than a week, so Marty does not have too much time; to go back in time, find him and rescue him.

Generally speaking: the script/character developments; I have a problem with the script as Doc seemingly breaks his own rules of time travel, you know the ones that he has been telling us/Marty for two films; absolutely Marty brings it up and put him straight in a nice way, but now including the framework and pacing of this 118 minutes film; I am sure that it is a mixture between the script and the framework and pacing, but it just doesn't seem to have the same drive and enthusiasm of a specially the first instalment of this trilogy; it has to be said that I have just noticed, as it relates to the framework and pacing of these instalments have gotten less and less gusto as we progress through the instalments, obviously this is just based on an observation and my opinion.

Art, comedy and action; the landscape, wardrobe and accessories on 1885 had been given an excellent authentic approach, especially with Doc Brown's slightly modified gun. Meanwhile we do have some come comical moments such as on meeting the Doc again in 1885; as a sign of shock on what Marty is telling him, he leans back on this piano and accidentally plays some fitting music to accompany what is happening at this precise moment in this film, much later on we have this alcoholic drinks hangover remedy, even though yes Doc only has one drink and yes much later on we have history repeating itself with this animal waste on some level. The action; I really like Doc's modified gun, we have a practical use for the Moonwalker [synonymous with Michael Jackson,] but performed by Marty to miss bullets aimed at his feet, then to distract and finally to send the spit bucket up by using the floorboards like a seesaw and finally; we have two trains sequences; as you will see they both individually offer two different things; such as the first sequence is longer than the second; but individually or together they show real imagination and creativity of the highest order.

Character developments and performances; broadly speaking the character developments on face value are good, you know they follow a simple and effective layout, but as I referenced earlier; to have Doc Brown basically go back in time and change history, when we have heard not one but two films of him telling Marty not to do this based on dealing with the ramifications of this; this is a bit stupid, but then in fairness and balance Marty does it as well, but  he just doesn’t on a very small scale of confirming  things, as Doc does it on a gigantic scale and the performances of the entire cast are good.

This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; what with me struggling to keep away in the vast majority of as I have alluded to a good portion of this sequel, the character developments of which I have also discussed already, so I decided to withdraw a mark and go with this one. Yes absolutely when it is good; it is good fun, but let's just speed this up a little and say when it isn't; it is like watching paint dry and in hindsight infuriating. This film also has some awards accredited to its name such as 5 Winners including but not limited to BMI Film & TV Awards 1991 BMI Film Music Award Alan Silvestri and 11 Nominees also include but not limited to Young Artist Awards 1991 Young Artist Award Most Entertaining Family Youth Motion Picture - Comedy/Action

Warning: at this point if you have been with me long enough you should know by now there will be at one point or another censored adult language references.

They're back!: Today Tuesday 13/01/2026 it has come to my attention today that Mock the Week will be returning with Dara Ó Briain is resuming his hosting role, with a new series on Sunday 01/02/2026: with 9 new episodes lasting 60 minutes apiece, on TLC; 9 PM, after being cancelled roughly 4 years ago at the back end of 2022, in my honest opinion this TV program should have never been cancelled, it poked fun at everyone and consequently it should have never been cancelled, as they were just essentially looking back over the previous week and as I have already indicated poking fun at it or just doing observational, topical and mature/adult humour, so here is just a heads up for any politician or/and anyone else for that matter in our country [UK and/or abroad.]

So one example President Donald Trump, I wouldn't recommend you do anything fudgin' illegal or fudgin' stupid [but then again, you achieve this by just getting up in the morning,] it will be interesting to see how this program deals with the Orange skid mark from Satan's butt hole, considering he is trying to sue the BBC, I am delighted to have this slice of British modern culture back on my TV very shortly though and for those that don't know TLC is a British TV network.

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/transformation/bodily functions/rainbow community/child abuse/regeneration/hanging/impaling/shooting/burning/medical/references to ritual

Whipstaff Manor: briefly; this Harvey family: Dr. James and his daughter  Kathleen "Kat" [Bill Pullman and Christina Ricci:] this father is basically a councillor for ghosts to assist them in crossing over, he has been given the job to assist these three ghosts to cross over, yet his daughter meets the fourth ghost that lives here: his name is Casper/other name [voiced by: Malachi Pearson/physical appearance: Devon Sawa:] he is a young ghost that is lonely, but friendly and is responsible for bringing this father and daughter here.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 101 minutes long is by and large good, but from time to time it is a bit patchy as in; it is one of those outlays that if you have been around as long as I have an older, you would understand that this is one of those types of films where as long as the comedy keeps on rolling or something motivated like action then this film can and will just motor on through, but as soon as this film doesn't have something to go through then, you tend to drift on without much in the way of gusto or direction.

Art, comedy and action; it is hard to believe that the computer animation; is still looking this vibrant still after 30 years, because this film is loosely well I say loosely, but nonetheless it is mildly a horror and because of that, even when on its 50th anniversary it could still look as good, because it has the horror theme to lean into as in not everything is not meant to look spot-on, so it has that defence as well. Now off the top of my head; I am pretty much sure that the outlay of the comedy is skit scene variety: where Casper could be cleaning up for the other three ghosts as it relates breakfast and Stretch [voiced by: Joe Nipote:] the leader/the brains of the trio, takes exception to this gives Casper a mouthful and then transforms this part of his being into a boot and kicks Casper

Character developments, performances and the voice performances; the character developments are all really well rounded versions of what they were going for in each specific case, the performances and the voice performances are likewise a really excellent representation of those character types; on a quick side note: I have to point out it was a stroke of genius without giving too much away, but to have in a film context to have a Ghostbuster to show up and legitimise your ghost characters; but I digress: which conversely brings such elements as the comedy, action and etc lively in to play when it is time to do so.

This film receives: 9/10, this film is excellent; minus the fact that from time to time this film goes through dry moments; where in the first one I was beginning to fall asleep, there is a real substance in the movie and providing your youngest member of your family is 13 years old, it can still be good fun to watch this project as a family, the person that I watch some of this content with such as this movie indicated it was good fun as well, as we over the past weekend went to see it at the cinema on its 30th anniversary; somewhere in the first closing credits there is an extra piece and finally there is some also has some awards accredited to its name such as 5 Winner that includes but not limited to; Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, USA 1996  Saturn Award Best Performance by a Younger Actor Christina Ricci and Young Artist Awards 1996 Young Artist Award Best Performance by a Young Actor - Voiceover Role Malachi Pearson, now unfortunately they were not all positive; The Stinkers Bad Movie Awards 1995 Stinker Award Worst Picture Colin Wilson

Real Talking Time:

Warning: at this point if you have been with me long enough you should know by now there will be at one point or another censored adult language references.

We are going back to the beginning of the Labyrinth: we have Jennifer Connelly as Sarah Williams: she is a teenager with an attitude problem, that by the usage of a magical incantation sends her half brother; Toby Froud as Toby Williams; away to the Goblin King; Jareth [David Bowie:] he has some mystical powers such as transforming into an owl, he gives Sarah 13 hours to make it through his Labyrinth and to get her brother back before it is too late and something bad will happen.

This is very much a piece of 1980's culture right here what with this being a Jim Henson project [for the younger generations this American puppet master is synonymous with the Muppets and other puppets and incidentally don't worry we in the UK had our own puppet master as well in the form of Gerry Anderson, he was best associated with such UK TV programs as Thunderbirds and my personal favourite Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons: both released in the 1960s: as I know there are some hard-core fan base: I need to point out that it was also Gerry's wife Sylvia Anderson and they produced project the name Supermarionation .]

But I digress; back to the Labyrinth; because four decades have passed as of when this content was first created; the authenticity of the all-round creation of the puppets, landscapes and all-rounder artistry, including singing from Bowie/Jareth with such tracks as "Magic Dance" released in 1987 which within this role paints Jareth/Bowie as a true King of the Goblins as he nonchalantly his sitting on/within his throne waiting for time to pass as a devious individual, but also can be partially playful and amusing with his Goblins [which backed him on this track] to get to this baby to stop crying.

I mean they just aren't going to re-create this level of authentic puppetry and let's be honest with these characters all having a mystical or/and chivalry component to them they are just looking/sounding better with age; I mean now and again I have made reference to this in previous content at the time of production on any level if you could in the effort or best as you can at that time as the years turn into decades and beyond; future people/viewer is well look much more kind on your door work as at minimum they should say is they are being reasonable; you can see that they really did put the effort in. But as it relates to this film you could want it in another 40 years time and it would still look fantastic.

The character developments and the performances/voice performances are of a reliable formula, so consequently they still hold great value even in 2026 as they are educational/coming-of-age and the performances/voice performances are from Connelly good as she follows a character types of coming-of-age really very well indeed going up against Bowie; which he is absolutely a driving force behind this project and I still believe without him this film would have really struggled and on a quick side note if there is to be a sequel in the future which I have just learnt at minimum it had been attempts to make it happen, they would need Connelly involved, because without Connelly or/and Bowie [I am unfortunately aware that Bowie is no longer with us: 1947-2016 RIP Bowie and while I’m on the subject Jim Henson 1936-1990 RIP] Connelly would have to fly the flag for this trio and if there are some people thinking will they could do the sequel or another project without them, firstly are you fudgin' insane? Yes they could, but I don't think you realise how big/iconic Bowie's performance is/was as I have just indicated it was iconic and legendary so anyone from my generation or older or slightly younger I feel comfortable suggesting they wouldn't accept anyone without some kind of acknowledgement to the original on a consistent basis and yes even though I have been highly praising this project and off the top of my head, the only person I could see pulling off a different interpretation but over a similar stature as David Bowie is Boy George as Jareth: He would bring a similar level of mystique and prestige to the role with a level of normalcy which is required, as normalcy in this case would indicate whatever goes on in this landscape is completely normal to him, but isn't to outsiders such as us the viewing audience and the only reason it has 7/10, this because without giving too much away I may strongly respect and admire this film for what it is, but there is only one thing I strongly dislike about this film and that would be the ending style; it really does my head in and makes no sense whatsoever, but to leave this content on a positive it is most definitely one of those films that firstly you should see at least once before you die and if you get the opportunity it must be seen on preferably a cinema screen; it is really worth it or a giant TV or screen.
