What to Expect When You're Expecting 2012 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is poor

Warning: there is a component of a miscarriage in this film.

Fundamental elements: there are cultural elements, background music, slow-motion effects, mental imagery, no subtitles when another language is being used, interpreter elements, time jumps and place jumps.

Movement: this film never gets out of neutral consequently it is boring. But as you will see in this review there are other components to this project which doesn't help the situation either, so there is plenty of blame to go around.

Storyline/Back stories/Origin storylines: now because I am a man I just want to cover my back by saying the following; if this film didn't have these components or elements in it I wouldn't be discussing them. So with that being stated; the storyline is poor; I mean don't get me wrong deep, deep, deep, deep down it has substance in fact much later on in this film it does show consistent substance in one way or another and yes 35 minutes in there is this miscarriage, but for me they don't deal with this storyline component in any significant way,] but if this film brings this to the table, they should have used it to explore both sides of the coin [male or female and then together] instead of a little bit here and a little bit there throughout the rest of the film without scratching the surface of the situation and just for the record these two characters/performers like one another.

The other storylines get a mention in a dialogue exchange as it relates to a couple and why they physically cannot have children or they come off as immature.

Back stories & Origin storylines; we get the back stories in the opening section to this film, magazines, storyteller, monolog and in the dialogue exchanges and we get to experience some elements of the origin storylines.

Artistic visions/Comedy level: there are artistic visions such as the aquarium elements or the landscapes which are later on in this project or this 4D ultrasound babies scan of these twins or we have karaoke or a band playing [concert] and this viral video. Moving on to the comedy level; for me there isn't too much of it to speak of; we have the interrupting child, this golf cart race and the face scale [to illustrate how much discomfort these women are in right now.]

Action sequences: there are exercise and working out and this golf cart chasing sequence which I have just mentioned.

Character developments/Performances: they are predictable for these kinds of films, consequently the viewers get the standard chemistry/friction on top of that, so not only is it depending on where you are in the film is depending what you get as it relates to the chemistry/friction, as I have made reference to the substance shows through more consistently the later you are in this project, so let me put it this way; when this project has a moment of substance or later on in this project the performances have lots of potential if we had as viewers more of this throughout the film as a consistent presence, this project would be looking at a much better mark.

This film receives: 2/10, but continuing from my previous paragraph in reality this film is poor and on a quick side note there is an outdated word being used as it relates to a child the word is "spaz," so this film was released in 2012 so this word should not have been used, I am okay to use such words as this one because I am one, generally speaking this does not bother me, it comes with the territory and I have a very, very thick skin so I am just bringing this up to make this point. if we are going to generally speaking outlaw other words from our society shouldn't this one be on the list as well?
