Rough Night 2017 by AverageMansReviews

Rough Night 2017 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is mixed

Fundamental elements: there are numbers and words on screen, voice-over elements, cultural elements, slow-motion effects, quick moving effects, background music, no subtitles when another language is being used, interpreter elements [learning via a tape or CD,] time jumps and place jumps.

Movement; well not much happens in the first 23 minutes, but other than that it does consistently move throughout the rest of the film time roughly of 141 minutes.

Storyline/Back stories: this will not be the only time I will say something to this effect; but the storyline like other components of this film are the standard for these kinds of films, where everything goes wrong on this particular night [enter number of characters/performers here.] Even though this film says "The End" there is a scene/song being sung alongside the second wave of ending credits. We the viewers get to see and experience a back story in the opening section of this film, storyteller and they get discussed in the dialogue exchanges.

Comedy level: it ranges between mature to adult to dark; this is another component which is the standard for these kinds of films, there are two examples which I can use in this review. This electrical garage door keeps going up and down whilst we have two characters/performers in a taxi with a driver character/performer coming in to this location, but we have the rest of our group of characters/performers trying to deal with something [I have censored this element by saying something] without any more people knowing about it inside this garage, the only character/performer that is not 100% certain what is happening here is the taxi driver.

The other is where one of our characters/performers comes in from the sea on this Jet Ski way too fast and then goes over the handlebars to have this crash landing on this beach.

Action sequences/Artistic visions: there are weapons being used and combat. Moving on to the artistic visions; there is this suitcase with little flags on it which is eye-catching and likewise this scene of the moon at night which is clear to see and as I have already said there is this song being sung by this character/performer as she is playing the keyboard, this is good.

Character developments/Performances: the character developments are the standard, meaning you get the standard chemistry/friction as times have changed [in their lives,] the awkwardness and everything else that comes with that. So inevitably the performances reflect that as well so in fairness and balance the performers in question make it feel as natural as possible with these character developments which they have to work with, so I will say good work nonetheless.

This film receives: 4/10, now after everything is said and done this mark is a fair conclusion.
