Review Time: this film is poor
Warning: there are
elements of human trafficking in this project.
Fundamental elements: there are numbers and words on screen, voice-over elements, cultural
elements, background music, yes and no to subtitles being used when another
language is being used, slow-motion effects, quick moving effects, mental
imagery, time jumps and place jumps.
Movement;
well with the quick moving effects they do cheapen this project, I have no idea
why they were used they do absolutely no favours for this title whatsoever.
Storyline/Back stories: the storyline is something safe and reliable and the back stories
come to us via voice-over, mental imagery, a laptop with dialogue exchanges as
well and in the dialogue exchanges on their own.
Action sequences/Artistic visions/Comedy level: there are weapons being used, combat and chasing; here is something
for you to look out for we the viewers get this game of Russian Roulette with
two guns. Moving on to the artistic visions; there is this scene where we have
this black-and-white old film playing in the background on this wall with the
old film projector [I should just point out to cover my back, we don't see this
but it sounds like one of the old, very old film projectors] and we have this
eye-catching sky in the background [it is where we have this
character/performer talking to our main character/performer on the telephone in
the final section of this project right around the end.]
The comedy
level is in the dialogue exchanges where we have this hostage
character/performer talking to the main person keeping him hostage about this
situation and is henchmen and why doesn't he talk? This scene is comical as
this boy character/performer is relaxed and acting as young children do, but he
is in a highly dangerous situation.
Character developments/Performances: the character developments are for 88% of this title straightforward
[but I cannot discuss the 12%, because that would be giving too much of the
film away.] The performances are mostly solid as in there are doing a job with
their character types and material given to them there is chemistry/friction
where there is meant to be chemistry/friction yes depending where you are; is
depending what you get.
Now you may
have noticed I said mostly, this is because we have this character/performer
Santos/Trejo and whilst he is on screen he does bring his usual high level
presents and everything else to the table, but this is where I have some bad
news he is only in one scene in this project, so basically enjoy him when you
see him.
This film receives: 2/10, well let's try and leave this review on a positive if there are
any fans of Dolph Lundgren out there in Internet land, give this project a
look, but I wouldn't expect too much
